Begin Your Therapy Journey
Taking the first step toward support can feel overwhelming, and it is completely normal to feel unsure at first. At Field and Mind Psychology, appointments are designed to provide a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported at your own pace.
Appointments are currently available via secure telehealth, with face-to-face services from the Gidgegannup location coming soon.
Appointment Information
-
Appointments can be scheduled securely online using the Halaxy booking form above.
If you are a new client, you may be asked to complete intake and consent forms prior to your appointment to help support a smooth and informed therapy process.
-
Clients with a valid Mental Health Care Plan and GP referral may be eligible for Medicare rebates for applicable services.
Private health funds may also be accepted depending on your level of cover and provider.
-
To help you prepare for your session:
Ensure you are in a quiet and comfortable space for telehealth appointments
Complete any required intake or consent forms before your session
Have your referral or Mental Health Care Plan available if applicable
You are welcome to reach out with any questions before your appointment
-
We understand that unexpected situations can arise and schedules may change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide at least 48 hours’ notice whenever possible.
Providing advance notice allows the appointment time to be offered to another client who may be waiting for support.
Cancellation Fee
Appointments cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time may incur a $100 cancellation fee.
This fee may also apply to:
Missed appointments without notice
Late cancellations
Failure to attend scheduled telehealth sessions
Medicare, NDIS & Third-Party Funded Sessions
Cancellation fees may still apply for appointments funded through Medicare, NDIS, private health insurance, or other third-party funding arrangements, depending on funding guidelines and practice policies.
Emergency & Exceptional Circumstances
We understand that emergencies, illness, and unforeseen circumstances can occur. These situations will always be approached with care and considered on a case-by-case basis.
How to Cancel or Reschedule
Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled by:
Contacting the practice directly
Using the online booking system
Replying to appointment reminders or confirmation messages
Telehealth Appointments
Telehealth appointments are reserved specifically for you and are subject to the same cancellation policy as face-to-face appointments.
Arrival Time
If you arrive significantly late to your appointment, the session may need to be shortened to respect other scheduled appointments. In some circumstances, the appointment may need to be rescheduled and the cancellation fee may apply.
Commitment to Care
This policy is designed to support fairness, appointment availability, and continuity of care for all clients while allowing the practice to provide consistent and timely psychological services.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
